Davey

Dear Davey,
One year ago, on my way to work I found out that I lost you. You died riding your bike on a Wednesday night. I wasn't with you, when I normally would have been. I have a void in my life with you gone. I miss you daily, I think of you often. Your memories will live on in me and your friends, our friends and wonderful family's memories. 22 years was way too short.
I love you Davey.

Excited for a lovely day :)

Beach Day

Today was my day OFF :)
Best day of the week.
Grabbed a sandwich from Provisions for lunch.
Rode my bike to Fishermans Beach (approx. 3.5 mi. each way)
Found a nice spot on the beach, laid my towel out, put on all the sunscreen,
turned up the tunes, and picked up my book.

The one thing about Nantucket in August is that the beaches are
BUSY!
Like really busy. Within ONE hour I had people on either side of me within 5 feet each direction.

Including a girl at least 10 years younger, and 50 lbs lighter in the exact same swim suit as me.
AWESOME.

Oh well. We can't all be 15 again can we?

Still it was a nice day on Nantucket, wish I had some bathing beauties with me. Beach is BoRiNg by my lonesome.

Rain, Rain go away!

Today it rained. Not just a sprinkle, but a 40 minute downpour. At what time do you ask? The rain started at:

6:45am

Just in time for my walk to work. Since it had just started raining I didn't think to wear my cute, expensive rainboots.

Nope, I wore my trusty Dansko slide ons.

So off I went, Dansko's, white skirts, polo, rain jacket, and umbrella.

Let's just say by the time I got to work I was barefoot, and it looked as though I'd taken a shower (fully dressed).

I was needless to say (a mess).
Victor headed out into the rain.

We were all soaked. Not fun.

Stace is one of my besties. She is my travel buddy, my roomie (in PC), and the brunette to my blonde. While we may be at opposite ends of the US, working day in and day out, we catch up like no time has passed at all.

Thanks for the chit chat yesterday lover! I miss you and can't wait for winter
(I promise not to work so hard).

Dear Kevin,
I miss you too!

Delta Gamma: The Deeg

I saw this photo of "The Deeg" at The University of Utah.
(Which is where I went to school)

I was disappointed to see that the house was looking so sad :( The Deeg was my home for 2 1/2 years of college. I have MANY memories here. The good, the bad, and the ugly. However, mainly the good. It has been years since House Corp has put a ton of money (effort) to the exterior of the property (inside looked awesome the last time I was there. We want it in tip, top shape for Recruitment. So open up your hearts (and your checkbooks), and pledge $100 towards improving the Active's and New Member's home!

Make checks payable to Delta Gamma and note “Beta Gamma House Corp” in the memo line. Mail your check to: House Corp @ the DG House, 1373 East 100 South, SLC, UT 84101.
Attn: Terri Schmertz Holbrooke or Attn: Candice Green Howell

Also, you will get your name placed on a plaque in the Chapter Room, letting everyone know that you took the time to send in a little love for our future DG's.

Today I sent in my check to House Corp. Did YOU?
