WEHR: Day at Great Point

At the end of August we decided that we need to go to Great Point before the weather had gotten too cold. Victor and Carolyn have been coming to Nantucket for almost 10 years between the two of them and NEVER BEEN THERE. SOOO... on September 30th, 2010 off we went.

When I received my "Spirit Award" a.k.a. employee of the month the staff showed up in blonde wigs and glasses. They thought it would be funny to take a pic at the lighthouse as well.

Nantucket Island Resort Employee Appreciation Party 2010

One of the best parts about this experience (moving to Nantucket) has been the job opportunity that I've had. Working at the White Elephant Hotel Residences has been hard work and a nice learning curve. And has definitely gotten me ready for my next career move...

*For any of you who actually follow this... Kyle is the guy that I met in May who went to Park City High School about 6 years before I did. We actually have mutual friends. So random.

Not a fab photo of us... But this is Rachelle and I adore her. I'm disappointed that we haven't hung out enough. She is the bomb-diggitty. Yes, I just said that.

This Cheryl and I love her. She is now Mrs. Curtis. I will post on her A-MAZ-ING wedding next.

Family Visit on Nantucket

One of the perks of moving across the country to work at a hotel are the Friends and Family rates. So my parents decided to take advantage and come visit me. They arrived late Thursday night and departed on a Monday. While I only got Sunday off from my jobs we had a great time.

I want to thank Nantucket Island Resorts and Tania (my boss) for the awesome rate on a Three Bedroom Residences, and Affordable Rentals for a Jeep for the entire stay! It was a definite need for getting everyone around on the cobblestones and out to Great Point Lighthouse on Sunday.
