Awful Blogger

Two words: I'm sorry.

I am an awful "blogger". This blog was suppose to be a way for me to have a place to write down what is going on in my life. To have it somewhere. To have a place where people (if they wanted to) to see what was going on in my life. I said that I was going to blog about my trip to Australia. Not only didn't I blog about it, I didn't even post any of the pictures on Facebook. I need to get better at this blogging/posting thing.

I can't believe that the 2009-2010 Winter Ski Season has almost come to a close. Deer Valley will shut off their chair lifts this Sunday, April 11th at 4:00pm. I am devastated. We have been getting some AWESOME April snow! And when I say AWESOME, I mean thigh deep freshies on normally groomed runs. It has been a phenomenal winter. I have really pushed myself to be a better skier. Trying to keep up with the boys on parts of the mountain that I would have avoided in the past. I purchased a helmet and boy am I glad that I have had it. It has taken some abuse: trees, icy groomers, you name it. I am VERY excited that Park City Mountain Resort has extended it's season till Sunday, April 18th. I am going to ski my little heart out next week. As well as...

GET READY FOR THE BIG MOVE!

I'm not sure that many of you know. But I am moving to Nantucket, Massachusetts. I will be leaving for the East Coast on Friday, April 23rd. I am nervous, scared, excited, anxious and just not prepared AT ALL. Over the course of the next two weeks I need to:

* Go to my parents house and go through ALL of my clothes, shoes, dressers, closets... ETC and just get rid of a bunch of SHIT. (I am soooo thankful for my wonderful parents for not being too pushy about all the stuff I left behind on this "trial move out" But seriously it is time for me to get rid of some things that I NEVER use.

* Go through EVERYTHING at my apartment. And by everything I mean... Get rid of SHIT I don't EVER use :)

* Then I must go through everything at both places and decide what MUST go to Nantucket with me. My goal is to only take 2-3 bags.

* My goal is to be COMPLETELY moved out of the apartment by 4/20. That means: bed back to my parents, couches to Augie's, house SPOTLESS.

I know I can do it! I have to pack for 6 months of New England weather. It is going to be cold May, June, October. And HOT July, August, September.

I am most excited about arriving in Boston on April 23rd. I will be picked up by my friend John and taken up to Holden, Massachusetts. John is my dear friend Dave (previous post)'s cousin. I will be staying with his family for about 5 days. They are going to show me areas of Massachusetts. So EXCITED! Also I must make a few purchases: a cute beach cruiser with basket, bell, and travel coozey (can I cocktail and bike? Are there Open Container Laws? On bikes?) And buy alll of my household products. It is much cheaper to do it on the mainland than the island (apparently.)

I will miss sooooo much here in Park City, Utah.

* My family (I have NEVER lived more than 30 miles from my parents - and even then they were WORKING in SLC)
I don't think my parents think I'll miss them... But I will! LOTS

* My friends. Period. No If's, And's, or But's... I have made some of the best friends of my life since moving to Park City 13 years ago. Whether in Middle School, High School, College, or my "After College" friends. I always have someone to talk with, drink with, eat with, hot tub with, ski with, or just plan HANG OUT with...
Thank you friends! Whether some of you know it or not this is my biggest fear. I do know a few people going to Nantucket. But not uber well. So I am nervous about meeting and making friends. I don't go to the bar by myself (because I'm not an alco...) I have been known to go to a "few (cough cough)" movies by myself. But out to dinner? ahhhh I need to make friends PRONTO! SO IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WORKING AND LIVING IN NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS???? Please give them my contact info :) Thank you!

* My job! Or rather my JOBS! I work Full-time at The Residences at The Chateaux in Silver Lake in Deer Valley. I have the most kick ass job. I work Front Desk/Concierge for a 1/6 fractional property. Basically a Country Club set up. The owners are great, my co-workers are the bomb (yes I just said tha bomb!), and my bosses couldn't be more cool. We work hard and play hard, it is such a fun environment. I also work part-time at The Riverhorse on Main. Soooo yummy if you haven't been there. Check it out! I am the hostest with the mostest. Again, great staff... lots of new employees this winter and boy did we have fun!

Alright... That is my blog for now :) I'm honest to goodness going to try and keep this updated. I will post pictures of the hotel I am going to work at in Nantucket and maybe where I'll be living!
